How to Survive in a Relationship

We all know what it feels like to fall in love, to be floating on cloud 9, in complete bliss. Then a couple of months later, some of that love fog starts to fade and you realize that you and your love don't always see eye to eye. Here's a simple guide on How to Survive in a Relationship:

1. Understand that you can't always have your way. A relationship is full of compromises. Just because he/she doesn't want to see that new romance at the movies, doesn't mean the night is ruined. Just find something else to do that you both can enjoy.

2. Ask questions. Don't always talk about yourself. Your love has something to share, so sit back and let him/her spill their heart out to you. Be understanding when they have a problem in their life. Remember that he/she has feelings too. It's not always about you.

3. Talk it out. When he/she says something you might not want to hear, don't get angry and lash out. Stay calm and try to understand where he/she is coming from. It might even be a misunderstanding.

4. Show that you care. Saying "I love you" all the time is nice, but show your love and let your love know how much you appreciate them. Show them that they can come to you about their problems, that they can count on you. Let them know how wonderful they are to you.

5. Have fun! Don't just sit in the house all day watching TV and cuddling up to each other. Go out and have fun. Spice it up once in a while. Go on dates to different places and try new things with each other.
