Getting Creative With Anime

In 2008, many people are coming out of the closet about being Anime Fans. Anime is Japanese animation which follows a story line in chronological order. I was introduced to anime at the tender age of 5. I remember getting up extra early in the morning to watch Sailor Moon. I thought the story was awesome for young girls, until later seasons which became more for older girls. Simply put, anime is huge now. The creators of "The Matrix" were actually inspired to make the movie after seeing an anime called Ghost in a Shell.

So the question is, what do you do when your favorite anime series ends? I discovered 2 ways you can deal with this. Have you ever wondered what would happen if you favorite character didn't do what he/she was SUPPOSE to do in the anime? Or if a certain character never showed up? Or even what would happen if your 2 favorite anime worlds collided into one? Then you should check out http://www.fanfiction.net/ It has a large collection of anime stories written by fans. So you can either write stories about your favorite anime, or animes which on fanfiction we call crossovers, or if your too lazy to write, search the site for cool fanfiction to read.

When I first started using fanfiction, I was so intimidated by these authors with 200 reviews. Remember its not a contest for who can get the most reviews. Sometimes people don't have time to leave a review or their not sure what to say. Don't be sad about it. Just make sure to thank everyone for reading and reviewing your fanfiction. It's not only a way for you to be creative, but its also a place for other anime lovers to connect in different ways. Get to know other authors and leave reviews of encouragement for other new fanfiction writers. Who knows, you may reach that 200 mark.

Check out my own fanfiction here. Also take a look at my favorite authors and favorite stories on Fanfiction.net.
